Photo of the Day: “A Palapa in Bacalar”
Have you ever heard of Laguna Bacalar? Not many people have. As you drive south along the lone highway in the Mayan Riviera, you’ll come across this small community situated on a beautiful lagoon. It is the second largest fresh water lake in Mexico but gets very few crowds. The locals also call it the lagoon of the seven colors. I’m seriously thinking of jumping in a plane after Thanksgiving dinner, flying down to Cancun airport, then driving 4 hours to Bacalar, get out of the car and take a running jump into the lagoon. I should probably have my swimming trucks ready. More photos from my travel adventures at Pixamundo:http://www.pixamundo.com/2012/10/08/a-palapa-in-bacalar/© Pixamundo | Rafael Bautista
